Celebrating You

In January of 2010, I lost someone very near and dear to my heart – When days like Valentine’s Day come around I often wonder why am I single and not able to enjoy this day with that one person who captured my heart and showed me the true meaning of being in love.

But as I reflect on that thought I think I have so much more love in life than I can possibly imagine. Although my children have not celebrated Valentine’s Day since he passed, they often remind me of another day coming up that is very important to them as it to me…. (That day will be discussed on tomorrow).

So if anyone is attempting to start reflecting on loneliness, here are a few quotes I found that help give a little bit of self love and the joy of loving oneself. Enjoy:

“Hope for love, pray for love, wish for love, dream for love…but don’t put your life on hold waiting for love.” — Mandy Hale

“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” — Oscar Wilde

“Being alone is not the same as being on your own.” — Katy Lee

“You do not need to be loved, not at the cost of yourself. The single relationship that is truly central and crucial in a life is the relationship to the self. Of all the people you will know in a lifetime, you are the only one you will never lose.” — Jo Courdert

“My alone feels so good. I’ll only have you if you’re sweeter than my solitude.” — Warsan Shire

“Being single used to mean that nobody wanted you. Now it means you’re pretty sexy and you’re taking your time deciding how you want your life to be and who you want to spend it with.” — Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City”

Enjoy Your Life,
